Hiking in Marin

A group of us have been slowly hiking our way through the excellent book, Hiking Marin: 133 Great Hikes in Marin County by Don and Kay Martin. If you're a hiker in the North Bay area, you need this book -- it's the bible on Marin County hikes. Organized by Bill Polson and Phil Beffrey, our group has mostly hiked near Big Rock Ridge and Terra Linda, but we've ventured around the county. The green circles below indicate the hikes I have photos from here.

Other group members: please email me links to any items you've posted from the hikes, I'll add them to the map.

Sierra Hikes

In the fall of 2003, our group took a weekend to hike up in the Sierra Nevada. We stayed at Rainbow Lodge (part of Royal Gorge cross-country resort), and hiked the Pacific Crest Trail from the I-80 trailhead to Paradise Lake. Although no one's written up the narrative version, below are several folk's photos from the hike.
